Smile Android Dev Tutorial for Begginners Needed

    Hi!

Can anyone post or give an url of where we can find a tutorial on developing with MMF2 and Android Exporter?

It would be nice to know how resolution works, I saw many posts about 320x480 (others say to use 300x460), but
    I have a Motorola Xoom, 10inch, also a Galaxy Note 2, 5 inch and a smaller razr D3 cellphone. 3 Different resolutions,
how would it work? Will it all be shrinked or expanded?

How updates are done? We post a change in the app in Google Play and people download? Can we use a browser
object to update things in a webpage inside app for example or is there better ways?

In resume, how to better work with MMF2 and Android Export with its capabilities and limitations.

I know its all new, but if we start posting how we did this and that, would help a lot everyone in the darkness willing for some light.

    Thanks a lot!

To handle multiple resolutions, it's easy. Simply make your app at the desired resolution, and it will be scaled to work with everything else. EDIT: Also, look at this guide for more professional-looking scaling options: http://community.clickteam.com/threads/74189-Scaling-for-iPhone-5-and-iPad-HOW-TO-DO-IT-RIGHT

There is only one way to update apps in Google Play (to my knowledge, anyway), and that's by simply uploading a new version (users who already have the app will be told to download the new version).

To follow the Android Exporter's capabilities and limitations, remember to make your games touch-based. Also, follow this guide for performance tips (it was wrote for iOS, but 99% of it applies to Android as well (the only parts that don't are the parts for transitions/ink effects, since I don't think they are supported by the Android runtime (but, if the Android runtime does support them, then those also probably apply to Android))): http://community.clickteam.com/threads/65324-Guide-to-faster-games-with-less-memory-usage

In the properties you can set it to stretch - that way it will fit in any resolution.

    Attachment 10765

of course be reasonable, you can't have 1080x1920.... res and expect it to look fine in an
    old 240X320 phone.
