MMF2 crash when i try to load projects or graphics

I expierience a weird issue since some days. mmf2 crashes SOMETIMES (every 2nd/3rd try) if i click on the LOAD icon
(doesnt matter if i'm in picture editor or in the storyboard editor)

MMF2 then freezes and i have to manually close the program. this is very annoying,
and i'm still not sure if the problem is my system (every other software (photoshop, combustion,..) works fine!)
or something has happend to mmf2.

may there is a workaround instead of de- and reinstalling it?
