    Question Change SFX/Music Volume

    I'm having trouble making a SFX volume option in my game.
    Music volume is easy, I just set the volume of channel 1 (where I play music) to whatever.
    But when I set the volume of all the other channels (2-32) the volume gets reset every time I use the "play sound" event.

    Playing SFX on specific channels manually would be a pain, isn't there a way to set and lock their volume?

    I think the mixer object (which comes with MMF2) can set the music and sample volumes, though you'd have to check to make sure, since I don't have MMF2 installed on this computer yet (it doesn't come with a CD drive, so I'll need an external one before I can install it (and it isn't the only thing I would use it for)).

    The problem is I use .ogg for all my samples+music so I don't think it can tell the difference.

    Ah, that would be a problem. Have you tried other audio extensions to see if those can do what you want? If you don't want to search the forums, you can always try ExtensionView for finding objects, though it doesn't seem to get updated anymore, so, if it can't find an extension that does what you want using ExtensionView, then try searching the forums.
