Set iOS Single Line Editbox FOCUS ON

Hi! I've a search button in my app.

If the user clicks on it, the search line will appear (move in)

the people are used to, that in this moment the textfield is on focus and the keyboard appears.

I've had some test users they doesnt get that they have to click inside the searchfield again to make the keyboard visible.


any idea how to make this more fluent?


PS: Edit box is no option, because it scrolls automatically if its in focus.

If there is no such solution, for everyone's interested:
I've adapted the standard edit-box file for ios to avoid automatic scrolling.
