MMF2 - Random Object Creation and Left Mouse Click Question/Issues.

Dear All,

I'm trying to learn the fundamentals using the built in graphics, etc.

I'm trying to just have a simple space ship at bottom, enemy coming down from top, kill it, get 10 points.

So, I have it all setup, but I can't get the enemy to appear at a random X, nor can I get the left mouse button to act as a fire button?

I have, even 3 seconds, the enemy being created at the top of the screen, I try the create at an x & y to layer 1, on the same time I'm trying to set the objects X using Random (640) in an expression on the same line, along with setting its direction, the object is a Bouncing ball, so it falls towards the player.

It always appears in the same place? it's like the Random (640) to the X, doesn't do anything, unless I'm doing wrong?

Also, I have it that when the user presses 'Space Bar' a bullet appears from the player and if collision happens with the enemy 10 points are scored, I tried adding it (and having on it's own) a detection of the left mouse button, either single click or double, neither work?

Another thing I've noticed is that if I press the 'Space Button' to quick, to many times, the animation stops and the bullets stop firing?

Can anybody help? I'm new to the whole expression thing, and I've searched online, and downloaded examples, and if even is copy the example, it doesn't work.

I'm wondering if there is something blatanly obvious that I'm missing?

Thanks for that, it's funny, just seeing someone else's take on a task, how our minds think..

It was very helpful, as I'm trying to learn various snippets, to I can grasp the program, seeing how people use conditions and expressions help.

I have my next thought on my next snippet/challenge, but I'll try it first before I say "Help"
