Playing Sound.

Hello, I'm running Windows 8.1 and having some pretty strange things with playing sound. I've went on the chat client and Snail helped me a lot and we got to a work-around.

Basically what was happening is that sound wouldn't work.(MP3 File) Both play sample and play music file just simply didn't play it. So, Snail compiled a .exe with the mp3 using play sample and gave it to me, it didn't work for me.(I assume it worked for Snail.) So, Snail suggested to see if .wav would work, and it did using Play Sample. It worked, and .OGG also works. But, can't get .mp3s to work no matter what I do. MP3 Sound filter is on and everything is fine there, so Snail and me assumes the problem is something with Windows 8.1. But, the mp3 file plays fine in media players for me.

Hey ecoste!
Might be a longshot, but I think it has something to do with the encoding of your .mp3 files.
Try to take a closer look of your .mp3. Also you could try to convert your .mp3 files to see if it makes any difference.
Other than that .ogg is pretty good format and there are surely lots of free converters in the web!
