How to use Lens Effect with Direct X

Hey guys, i finally got around to playing with the Lens object (yeah, i know i know, should've forever ago lol) and its AWESOME!!!!! But.....my game really needs Direct X to run smoothly and as you know it doesn't jive at all with it. I found a thread about effects shaders and downloaded all the files in it (thanks Marv!) but i have no idea how to make it work like it does with the original Lens example. Im basically using it for mirrored and water effects. Does anyone know if and how i could do this using the effects shader?
