Help with smooth movement on Ouya

I really hope you can help as I'm going insane in my mind. I usually use the while direction is pressed every 0.1 seconds move x coordinate.

I can't seem to make that happen with the Ouya object, it just makes the movement stutter, oddly I can use the analogue stick but it doesn't move if I hold it in one direction only if I tap it.

I've fixed everything else but this is driving me mad now!
