Preload frame to avoid white flash?

I keep running into an issue where the background color of the frame and various objects (list, text, edits, etc.) are loaded a split second after the jump between frames. This results in a white flash that is rather troublesome. Is there a way to avoid this? Perhaps preloading the frame? I have the events relating to the background and the colors immediate but that doesn't help. I certainly notice a difference on slower machines, which compound the issue.

I've also noticed the frame resizing takes a split second as well sometimes. Any ideas?

That's one of the things being changed from time to time already. It resorts to white for a split second.

There may be a better solution but I added a new layer (lowest) and placed a black backdrop object. It still "flashes" but it's much less noticeable now.
