IAP for Windows

I searched the forums but didn't find anything. Are there any methods as far as IAP's for Windows based .exe's or including ads?
I know this may be a very weird question, but I was curious, mostly about Windows IAP's.

In-app purchases. Like connecting to a store to purchase DLC within the game itself, or does this need to be executed externally?
I haven't really messed with the Android IAP's yet, so I couldn't compare ways with Windows. I just wondered if it were possible.

it would be possible.. but you'd need an extension.. I suspect Clickteam will come out with a steam extension which I imagine would include IAP (That's if Steam actually offers IAP).. does Desura have a IAP? I guess it depends first on what actual services offer IAP.. but it's definitely possible.

Ah, I understand now. I'm not sure if Steam or Desura does. I have not used any games from their services. Though I am soon to look into Desura, as it will be a more viable option to launch a game on than Steam from what I hear.

You could quite easily create your own IAP system with a combination of PayPal or any other payment system and your own database. Essentially, you could create your own API to connect to and work with.
