Need help with resolution for my game.

First of i want to say that English is my secondary language, so be ready for some grammar abuse and spelling errors.

I'm quite experience with multimedia fusion, i been using it for 3years now. But for some reason i never took the time to learn about resolution. I have a game coming up and i need some help and advice for the resolution.
I wonder if there is someone that have high experience with it, and willing to help me.
I bet you wonder why i don't ask the question here instead of writing all this c**p . The reason is that i have a lot of question and probably some followed up questions. It will be a lot easier if we could talk over skype or something similar chat-program.
