Just trying to determine these things, before I make certain decisions regarding my game play. Can the rope physics object be "lengthened" at runtime. what I need to be able to do is if my character pulls down while on the rope and is at the bottom it increases the length while down is pressed. Or approximately that. IF the first is possible, how can I get the total number of segments in the active rope object. I thought saw a way to do the second part but it did not seem to work.

will changing the size of the segments graphically change the actual length of the rope? I assume but if you can confirm, it would save time.

Finally I would like the rope to bend around a backdrop. is this possible? thanks for your time
