    Extension Manager - Source Column

I am confused about the source column in the new extension manager.

If I have several extension that need "reinstalled" then is there a way to select several and say re-install? Very time consuming to try to do each one and then you have to keep scrolling down each time.

I see the same extension listed under different catagories. In one I told it to re-install and then looking further down the list and I see the same extension listed again as "re-install".

Some extensions are listed as "Fusion". What does this mean? Are they not all Fusion extensions or are you saying these are extensions are built and supported by Clickteam?

Another problem is I see that the Dynamic Array 2 is listed as "re-install" so I assume that means it is out of date. So I told it to re-install. Then it is listed under the last category as installed, undetermined ect... but it still listed it as "re-install". Confusing.

Fusion = comes with Clickteam Fusion

    Re-install & Installed/Outdated = Re-install to update the extension

Re-install & Installed/Up to Date/Undetermined = Re-install if you cannot get the extension to load or other such problems. Installing it otherwise will not have any effect.

Generally, you only need to install extensions if you do not have them.
Generally, you only need to re-install extensions if it is under the outdated category.

I suggest updating the Extension Manager to multiple extensions listed as reinstall to be selected and all selected would then be updates. Would save a lot of time.

Also Ubuntu has a software manager that keeps all software updated. It scans and then lists software updates needed. Same should be added to MMF2.5 to keep 2.5 and all installed extensions updated that the user approves of. Software should set a restore point in case the user needs to undo the updates.

    Just a suggestion.

The 2 cannot be compared. Ubuntu is an OS whereas CF 2.5 is just an Application. If CF 2.5 was to constantly check for updates to the extensions you would spend a lot of time waiting for it to load. Windows doesn't have this Umbrella Update feature, the only reason OSX has it is that the OS is a closed environment. I am of the opinion that it is down to the User to ensure that the extensions are up to date.
