Generation of 5V pulse to trigger motor

I'd like to create a game where people use a touch screen to 'catch' objects by touching them. Once they have 'caught' the object a food reward will be dispensed automatically. When a object is touched, I need to generate a 5V pulse that then goes to my USB digital interface to trigger the feeder motor.

Does anyone have ideas on how I might go about doing this? Any suggestions gratefully received.

You can get USB Relay Controllers (which once connected will detect as a com port). Then send a command to the com port to trigger the relay. I believe there is an extension for sending data over com ports. If not you'll need to make one/have one made.
