Setting an active position in the event editor seems to lag 1 frame behind

Silly question but I can't seem to figure it out, I am trying to set an active on to another active's hot spot but no matter where in the event list I place it or if I use always or time every 0.00 seconds, the active being repositioned seems to be 1 frame behind and thus causing an unmatching fit for a moving object.

I seem to recall a way around this years ago but I can't find anything about it on google, anyone here have a fix without using extensions? since it needs to work on iOS also.

Ah it's ok, it seemed that I have to set the event after I force a frame change, not just after a position of the first sprite so it was doing the right thing but before the frame was actually changed in the event editor. My own error for making my own animation engine.
