Red face CF 2.5 explained to a noob

I don’t know where else to post this, so here goes.

I have some questions about CF 2.5 (non-developer) I would like to clear up, before I invest in it.

    1. Export to IOS and Android?
Is it possible to export to IOS, Android ect.? I get a little confused when I see an extension called “Android Exporter for Clickteam Fusion 2.5”.

    2. Is advertisement possible?
Is it possible to place adds in the non-developer edition?

    3. Differences
As far as I understand, the major difference between non-developer and developer editions, are the royalty free material and the credits to clickteam.

I used to play with the old, old Klik and Play back in the 90’s. Sweet memories . So eager to give this another go.

    1) Yes you can export to iOS (apple iphone, ipod touch, ipads etc.) and Android (phones, tablets, ouya) but you do need to buy the export modules, they're a little extra on top of buying CF 2.5

    2) Yes you can advertise and earn ad-revenue, I'm not sure if non-developers can..

    3) There are also a few features/extensions that are exclusive to developer.. but these are for particularly advanced uses generally.. you can definitely start with standard and later upgrade (for a discount) to developer if you feel you ever need to.

So to sum up my quesitons for the non-developers edition:

    1. No
    2. No

It’s beginning to become somewhat expensive if I want to create an Android game with CF 2.5.

    € 79,98 for CF 2.5
€ 69,99 to be able to export to Android (€ 99,99 for iOS and € 59,99 for HTML5)
$ 25 to get registered at the Android market

Before I would invest that kind of money, I would have to try out a demo of CF 2.5 – which is not available.

oh, i didnt realise you couldnt place adverts in your game if you had non dev android. That's a bit of a shame, i want to get the android exporter but that is going to increase the price alot. =(

ugh more attitude.. I didn't say No to #2 I said I don't know.. If there is no demo available then there will be soon.. it's really not expensive.. time is money mate. You can spend 3 years learning to program or you can spend a few months with CF 2.5 and you'll have a game out that could potentially make you a lot of money.. compared to similar products it's very cheap/competitive as well... seriously.. get a job at McDonalds and 1 weeks wages will probably more than cover it..

So question 2 is still open: Can CF 2.5 (non-developer edition) have advertisements?

As for the demo, I do not think there will ever be a demo. Looking at the other products (GF 2, CF 2), they all state: “Download the free version now! (coming soon)”…

You must own the Developer version of Clickteam Fusion 2.5 to have the ability to display ads in your games.

The free version is just around the corner (which is better than a demo), it's completely free to use. I can't shed any light on an ETA at this moment but it will be soon.

DaveC 1 week wages at McDonalds certainly wont cover the price of the developer version, not even the standard one without any exporters, depending on where the person lives.

I doubt that, as there is yet no free version of Game Factory 2 or Fusion 2.

Does the developer edition contain all the expansions? export to Android, iOS ect?

No you still need to purchase any export modules you would want.
