File crashing instead of exiting - didn't before

I have been working on the same game for over a year, but I haven't really done anything special to the engine in the last 6 months or so. I've just added frames.

Recently in testing, it's been giving me the nasty "This stand alone application has stopped working correctly" message when I hit the key to exit the application (which I have set to escape). It hasn't always done this. This is happening both in my runtime tests within mmf and when I run the stand-alone exe.

Is there anyone that can point me in the direction of debugging this error? Could it be a problem with my Windows?

Hate to bump, but I'm at my wit's end. I have no Global Events. I only changed the application menu editor to &quit = escape.

It crashes when I build the application and run it and hit escape AND when I f8 to run-application. It also crashes when I am in windowed mode and click the x to close. I can generate the crash in a few key spots. BUT, if I just f7 to run-frame, it doesn't crash in these spots.

Any ideas of why there would be a difference?

    Hi Ziplock,
Could you give more details about the crash? Normally when the message appears, there is a link (or button on older Windows) that allows to obtain more informations about the crash. At least to know if it's the runtime or a specific extension that crashes would help.

OK, update that's a little weird.

    1) My hard drive failed and I reinstalled everything. The app works without crashing.
    2) I tried to build my exe and mmf told me it couldn't because the ultimate fullscreen plugin was incompatible with an exe. Even though I have been building it this way for over a year.
    3) I reinstalled my swf flash export module.
    4) I tried again and built an exe with no error messages.
    5) App crashes like it did before.

Obviously this is a problem with an incompatibility between ultimate fullscreen and the swf module. But is ultimate fullscreen compatible with exe files ONLY if swf module is installed? Even if I'm not building a swf?! And then does it bring error messages?
