How would I add a fill bucket feature to a map editor?

I want to add a flood fill tool (paint bucket) to my game's level editor with a tiled grid map. I've tried looking up flood fill algorithms, but I'm terrible at transferring pseudocode to MMF2, and can't wrap my head around it. Anyone know how, or have any examples?

Have you played around with the draw object? Or is that too simple for your editor?
