    Ouya + Sub-Application

So I'm developing a game for the OUya console, and I was wondering if it was possible to use a sub-application within the app? The reason for the is that the game window is a 4:3 letterbox, and with most HDTVs being 16:9 nowadays, I want to be able to add borders to either side of the game screen that change based on given situations (IE: One border when you enter a stage, another for another area, etc.) Is this possible or is there a better way of handling it?

Just change the window aspect ratio to something more rectangular.

yeah i know what ya mean, I have games done in 640x480
I change the window size to 600x375 and set the display to stretch to fill.
OUYA resize is actually very crisp.

I'm preparing a new OUYA videos.

I thought about doing this very thing las night, since I am making a non wide screen game. I would have my main game in a sub-app then, centered in a wide screen frame? That would be a neat area to keep the score and number of lives in as well, as opposed to overlaying them on the game itself.

Thank you, Tapatalk for lacking an edit button. Anyhoo, here's a link to a video I recorded showing the border in action.
