    Microsoft Agents/Double Agents?

Is there any way I can put a Microsoft Agent character on my MMF2 program? If you don't know what MS Agents are, they're those little animated characters, like Merlin, Clippy, or Bonzi (yes, the infamous BonziBUDDY uses MS Agent).

    Help, anyone?

You'll be out of luck I'm afraid. I have never come across a Microsoft Agent extension, and even so, there may be licensing issues from Microsoft for using them.

Microsoft have put the nail in the coffin for poor clippy and friends long ago; seeing as it's deprecated since, and will not work in Windows 7 and beyond.

However, it is perfectly possible to create your own virtual assistant in Fusion. How it's implemented depends on what your application is and what artwork/animations you have available (or willing to design).

An active object that contains all of its animations would be sufficient, you can use the speech bubble and popup menu extension(s) to interact with them. Or like Microsoft Office 98, they can be in their own window (in Fusion, this can easily be a sub-app with pop-up window and tool caption set)

It is possible to embed them using activex controls and the activex extension for MMF2 actually, see more info about them here:

Well, I've tried ripping sprites of Clippy from the source agent using Deskbot, but I would like to know how to program him to actually do stuff.
