    ONU playing OGGs, crashes if no sound card

    I'm using ONU audio plugin to play OGGs in my game The Escapists.

    If someone doesn't have a sound card, or sound is disabled, the game crashes.

    Anyone know of a workaround for this? Can't find a way to detect whether user has a sound card or anything

    You don't need to use ONU to play OGGs, for starters. Also, I don't have the ONU extension/extensions/whatever, so I can't really help you with it, and I don't know what advantages it would have over the built-in sound player. Another thing, I don't believe it's been updated in ages, and it sounds like a bug in the object, so you may be stuck if you don't re-do the way sounds are played to instead use the built-in ability to play OGG files, which may take a while to do, and, as I've already stated, you may be using some feature ONU has that isn't supported by the built-in audio player for all I know, so that also might not be an option.

    Also, what computer doesn't have a sound card these days?

    I'm using 2.0 because 2.5 doesn't have some of the plugins I needed for my game.

    Found a workaround for this, old extension that checks if a sound card is enabled.

    Which extensions do you need that aren't CF2.5 compatible?
