Popup minigames - frames within frames?

    Hi guys

I'm making a little game where when the player character interacts with objects the normal action stops and they get a little minigame. I've already made the game in a seperate frame, so firstly I'd like to know if I can just make that frame overlap the existing one for the length of the minigame, so I don't have to reset the first frame by leaving and returning to it, and can just use what I've already done. It also seems a lot tidyer.

So when my character interacts with something, I want a popup to appear with the game in it, with a bunch of other objects in it. If I can't play one frame within another, what's the best way to do this? Spawning everything in the right places could be difficult, since this is a scrolling game so the position I want them to show in won't be fixed.

    Thanks
    A

How about the subapplication object? I use that for inventory screen/questlog. A seperate application gets on top of the main app :-)
