Question Game Type: Are Rail Shooters possible in CF2.5?

    Hello there!
I don't know if this is the right section but I want to know a thing:
It's possible to make a Rail Shooter in Clickteam?
    Dunno, just like this?
    The game
It was made with Flash and 3dmax for the external models in 3d.
Can I make a rail shooter like this or kinda like of it?
Sorry for the bad english :P
    Thank you in advice!

Yes this would be possible, but it would be of above-average difficulty to pull off.

Mode7, Raycaster, and "Wolf-3d" examples all come to mind. If you have experience with 3d you might want to look into pre-rendered videos. You could give the effect of the game being "true" 3d, without it actually ever being 3d, but you would be mostly limited to stationary scenes - unless you get really creative.

Basically the idea would be to make 3d "fly-by" videos of each scene of your level. Enemies that appear can be objects placed on top of this video that plays. The next scene, or video (IE: Walking to your next destination) can be played once the needed conditions are met (ie: All enemies in scene 1 are killed -> Proceed to Scene 2.)

In short, yes this is possible, but there is no cure-all. It is recommended that you have a decent grasp of Fusion and perhaps at least some extensions. The entire game CAN be created without extensions if you use the fly-by video method.

    Thank you for the reply!
I'm learning all the basics of Fusion and learning a lot of 3d modelling on Unity for the prerender scenes, so I will give a try.
    Thank you again

if you're going to do pre-rendered stuff this should be fairly achievable even for a novice.
