why doesn't active switch direction correctly

I have created a character, and crosshairs that follow the mouse. If the crosshairs are less than 320, direction for the character should change to 16, and if greater than 320 change to 0.

Although this seems to be working, the ARM object isn't handled right. It looks as if it was rotated 180 degrees instead of flipped X, which is how it is in the frame setting for that direction. Why is this and how do I fix it?

    Solved:
I had automatic rotations turned on, and I didn't realize that trumped the direction frame
