Question CREATE A PAINT SPRAYER Game

    Hey CLickteam,

I'm nowhere close to even starting on this idea. Just a thought to see if possible. My idea is to make a black and white game that the player has to spray paint in order to play the level and find clues. How could I convert an active object into a paint sprayer with a pallet of colors? Thanks CLickers!

    Like Mario Paint ()?

Seriously, I didn't catch the mechanics of the game,
    but main concept seems captivating,
could you word that in a way so that it sounds clearer?

You want the actual level (i.e. a platformer) to be painted in order to make the player able to interact?
Or a blank screen to be painted/designed from zero by player?
Or else, a preset draw canvas to be painted, so that on correct coloring something shows up...?
    or...?

    Well Schrodinger,

All those examples sound great!!! I really don't know. The idea just popped in my head. To be able to spray paint the world and then interact with it to me sounds cool. Okay, here's a quick idea. Lets say I have a platform game where the mouse is a can of spray paint. The player is static but moves when a platform is fully painted. The paint is limited so the player has to cleverly utilize their stock. They can choose there color of choice or I could make it to where they have to use a certain color. Just an idea. Do you think this is possible?

Yeah, sounds cool to me too, I think a couple of games with this kind of mechanics popped out for Nintendo DS
    but I've never actually played...

Fusion has great capabilities in this sense,
since you can "paste object into background" (you find it under "animations" of objects)
and choose whether to paste as an obstacle, platform, etc.

So you could create your set of "brushes" object and paint them in the level to make interactive items!

For more advanced control, the "surface" extension does HUGE things,
but it's a little trickier to setup.

Here's a quick example of the surface object (based on Anders Riggelsen's stuff). Looki's surface object is pretty simple, but there's a lot it can do so it's easy to get lost.

Thanks for the responses. Ziplock, do you think that a sprayer is capable? Just your opinion. I'm gonna check out Ander's example tonight...at work.

Oh, sure it's possible. Here's an example using Schrodinger's explanation of create object/paste into background. Might get you started.

    Hey thanks Schrodinger,

I'll name it, "Color My World!" After I'm done with Rope, Soap 'N Dope game, I'll start on a rough draft!

    Best luck then!
The one I remembered for DS was this:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drawn_to_Life

You had to draw even your main character.

Mmmm... thinking that this may be a hard challenge with fusion.
    But maybe doable...
mmm yes, definitely it should be,
or with active pictures positioned and oriented to resemble a figure,
or with "load frame" into active objects,
picking up pre-drawn and saved things
taken by screen capture and saved by surface (credits: Chrille)

Well, however, that sounds a little overcomplicated,
and maybe drawing your main character is just something naive to do, that would have little impact on gameplay.

Sorry, just throwing out ideas for this interesting concept...
