    Question How can I fade out a sample?

    Hey CLickteam,

    I have a platform game in the sense of a mega man game where the player has to scale up the level and then scale down to reach the end. There's no screen transitions like when mega man enters the end of the frame and the frame scrolls to the next area, its just free flowing like the X series. Okay, I have my main music playing but I have an area that the player drops into that is very space like. I would like to fade out the main music when the player is getting close to this area and input a spacey music sample when the player is in the space area until the player exits the spacey area. Then I would end the space sound and reenter the main music. How can I accomplish this in the event editor? Thanks Clickers!

    Wow,

    Thanks Snail! Its not really doors but open ended platforms that the player falls down onto. One half of the screen, the player scales up by jumping on platforms above platforms. The second half of the screen, the player falls down onto platforms from higher platforms. I hope that makes sense. Also, if you don't mind, could you break down the calculation? I can easily recode that event... but I want to understand.

    Dude!

    Thank you. This is where I will grow! Learning the "why" behind equations and events is what I need. I feel a lot of tutorials focus on how to accomplish something but leaves out the why that certain function works. I built an endless runner based off of the canabult tutorial. It looks great and I show my friends, but if someone asked me to explain how I made it, I would be exposed. Lol. Thanks Snail!
