    Question Help with screen resolution.

Hi, I want to make a platform game for pc and maybe try to get it on steam.
    My question are:

What game resolution should I work with?

If I work with a high resolution for example 1920x1080, and a computer only supports 720p will it run the game fine?

Can a 4:3 screen run the game if it is made with 16:9 res?

Im really new to this stuff, just getting started.

Well, Fusion works best with lower resolutions and then upscaling to fit the screen. Though you can develop in any resolution you wish, even 1080p.

If your screen only supports 720p but the game is 1080p you can make it work by ticking "resize display to fill window size", however it will stretch and you probably will need a shader to correct the aspect ratio in some cases.
Though to my understanding CT is finally working to fix this, so fingers crossed!

You can run 16:9 game on 4:3 like I described earlier: Shader to correct the ratio.

However, if you make the game windowed only, then you can use Ultimate Fullscreen for screen stuff and forget shaders. Though if you develop high resolution it is possible you want to use real fullscreen for the best performance, this is when the shader steps in.

    Good luck!
