    Sound issues for background music

    Hi,
I am trying to add background music to a frame. In the event editor I am creating an "Always" condition and then under the sound column I am picking my music (from Clickteam free resource file downloads) but it seems to only recognize midi files. When I choose "All files" from the type it doesn't display anything to import. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Use play sample instead. Music is for midi files only

Also, put it in the start of frame event rather than an always event. You can set it to loop indefinitely or as many times as you'd like

Thanks jn2002dk! I have it on the main menu screen but I wan to have it play uninterrupted over all the frames in the game. I can't seem to figure that out. Can you help?

    Thanks again!

In the application properties, select play sounds over frames

    Bonus tip:
When you play and loop your background music make sure when you jump back to that frame you don't play the sound again if its already looping.
Put in a condition in to test if its already playing.

If you start to hear some sort of weird echo... It means you have multiple channels playing the music.
