How to get an object to attach to another object?

My friend would like to know how to make two rather similar functions for two different games, and she would appreciate your insights.

    1. How to make a falling object to attach to another object, so that it wouldn't detach from it after that?

    2. There would be an object that would be controlled by mouse. When it would overlap another object, it would attach to it so that it wouldn't detach from it after that.

My friend would like to know how to make those functions. Thank you for your answers!

Here is a simple example of number 1
Your friend maybe just needs to "go for it" that is how you learn to do things in Fusion.

    Edit
You can move the red paddle with the arrows so you can see the green box sticks to it.

This is really simple. Based on the same principle as what Jeff did, this is how you can move your mouse around and stick elements to it.

Thank you both very much. My friend would like to explain further what she meant.

    1. An object would appear on the screen and it would be moved by arrows next to a same coloured object.

My friend can't decide wheter those two objects would then disappear or be moved together somewhere else.

    2. She would like to be able to do this:

    Thanks again.

This is one of the things my friend would like to be able to do (we tried to attach this picture earlier but it didn't work out):

We just looked at your example again and we checked in the event editor but we couldn't understand how you had done it. My friend would like to know, where she could find some information on how to make it. Are there some easy tutorials about that for example in YouTube?

Does someone know how to make the no. 2?

None of the attachments seems to work for me :/ I can only see your picture. Do you mean that you move the white puzzle pieces around and try to move it into loose pieces and make them sort of snap to the big, white object??

    Hi Kentronisk,
my friend meant that the white big object would be the base of the jigsaw puzzle and the player would move the blue piece on the matching place of the white base, and when that piece would be on the right place it would stay there. She was thinking that this might be the easiest way to do it.

Here's the other picture we tried to link:

My friend thought that she would explain what her idea was. An object would appear on the screen and the player would move it with arrow keys. The object that have appeared on the screen wouldn't move anywhere by itself. If he moved it next to a different coloured object it would stay there. If the player moved it next to a same coloured object it would attach to it. After that my friend can't decide wheter those two objects would then disappear or be moved together somewhere else. We hope that this cleared things up!

My friend still has the same problem: how to get an object attach to another object. It is difficult since there isn't already this kind of event in the event editor: "stick to another object". Jeff had linked a file, but my friend doesn't understand how he had done it. Could someone tell how to do it? She doesn't know yet how to use alterable values. She has tried to find out how to use them.
