    Cannot run Fusion 2.5 - missing Normalize.dll

I'm after critical HDD formating and OS reinstall. As usual I installed Windows XP with SP3 and Now I installed Fusion 2.5 Developer, but I cannot run it, because Fusion needs Normaliz.dll file.

I don't know anything at all about this dll so I'm kindly asking you.

I can only speculate since I never had this issue before. So these are just some guesses based on computer problems I've had in general with other software in the past.

Apparently the dll file should be in "...\Windows\System32". Maybe there's a firewall or antivirus software blocking Fusion from accessing it?

I also googled for it and some hits says that malware sometimes disguises themselves as that dll file or simply corrupts it. A big hint is if Fusion tried to reach that file outside of System32 folder. That could mean the Fusion exe is corrupted and some Anti-virus protection noticed it and removed the fake Normaliz.dll file.

First I'd try check that your files(both the dll and Fusion) hasn't been corrupted using some anti-virus tools.

Then sometimes the installation/setup goes wrong too so if you haven't tried already; Re-install Fusion, get the latest patch, etc and try again.

Again, just guessing here based on general software troubles I've had in the past.

It's a system dll file which is important for several windows processes. If this dll is missing you will run into error messages everywhere. Check your Windows\sytem32 folder and search for the file. If you can't find it you need to copy it to this folder from your XP disc.

hmmm... I googled for some info about this dll and I managed to fix problem, but I'm curious, why Clickteam doesn't provide it together with fusion.
I was thaught : If you use third party tool to run main app, provide it together.

It's a system file - provided by Microsoft. A lot of programs will not work and also copy processes. It's nothing Clickteam is responsible for.
