    Smile The Global Event section o/

    Is there any plan to make the Global Event section more convenient? In my mind it is the single most important part of Fusion, yet it is lacking in certain conveniences that the frame event section has. For instance;

    Can you undo in the global events?

    Can you make variables retain their given name?

    Can you select animations by name (after the original 12)?

    Also from what I can tell there isn't a shortcut to go to the global events, nor can you make your own shortcut in preferences. That would be really nice.

    I really like Fusion and I just want to see this program succeed and keep up with its competitors because I keep hearing about how easy and convenient Construct and Game Maker are to use.

    You can indeed undo in Global Events. But as for the other stuff, you are correct that these would be very nice features to have. I think it has been discussed before and was not implemented due to logistical problems in the way Fusion is constructed; however, you are welcome to go to the Bug Tracker (look at the links at the very upper right corner of the forum window) and submit these as feature requests. The more people request these features, the clearer it'll be to Clickteam that these features are in demand, and they may deem it worthwhile to tackle the logistical problems.

    Wait, how do you undo? Ctrl Z doesn't work for me.

    Also, how do you organize objects in global? I spent 10 minutes sorting a hundred or so objects into folders only to find out next time I loaded it the folders were gone. Trying to reorder the objects doesn't stick either.

    I'm sort of in disbelief.

    Thanks Sebastian.

    Ctrl Z works for me so I'm not sure what's going on there.

    However I did notice the folders disappear upon returning to global events. This is definitely a bug. Again, you could report it to Clickteam using the Bug Tracker. They don't comb the forums looking for bugs to fix, so the only way it'll ever get resolved is if someone puts it in the tracker.

    Ok so I think I know what you mean by Ctrl Z works for you. It works so long as you don't run the frame, correct? But what's the use in that. You need to run the frame to test if what you did is working but then it removes the undo history.

    I've gotten a new computer since I made this topic and have done a fresh install but the undo history still gets wiped after running the application.

    It's nonsense, imo.

    It is a bit silly but I doubt it's intentional behavior. Likely an accidental bug in Clickteam's code. But they have no way of knowing, and it'll never get fixed if someone doesn't report it to the Bug Tracker.
