Frequency on Android issues?

If I have a sample play once and then adjust the frequency while it's playing the sound cuts out and doesn't work.

If the sample is looping continuously while the frequency is adjusted it works as expected.

Is there a work around for this? As adjusting the frequency obviously works on Android which is great, but it seems a little buggy.

Sound is something very OS dependent so changing frequency may not work in all of them.
