What's your method for making custom scrollable lists?

The list Objext is great but not pretty. I plan on running it off frame and using a custom scheme onscreen, which looks nicer. I've been toying with various methods but still haven't come up with the perfect solution? What's your method of choice?

    My considerations:
Flexibility - works with any number of items, with any font/size and still scrolls properly.

    Response - nice and snappy!

Selection options - List Object just highlights the selected line. I want to have the option for that, outlining or placing a selection character on the correct line.

I'm thinking we could work this into a nice little widget.

This would be interesing, and actually very usefull.
The List Object is nice but it has some limitations and som strange quirks, some unsolvable due to it ( The List Object ) being tied to the Windows OS and unrelated to Fusion.

I think the key aspect is to create a smooth custom Trackbar.
I think the List could be comprised of Active System Boxes.

I didnt really understand your 'Selection Options' though.

Selection options just meaning what is used to show the currently selected line. In lost, it's highlighted with a system color. I'd like various options eventually.

I have a somewhat decent setup with Activr system boxes but I can get the scrolling to work out! They're just static, which doesn't give a very smooth look.
