How to stop the movement of a launched object from an active?

    Hello fellow clickers,

I was trying to help my friend figure out this problem and even did a quick forum search and have not found a solution yet or a workaround to this issue and was hoping that my fellow clickers here could be so kind to offer any suggestions or better yet some code examples pointing out how to correct this problem. It seems that once an object instance is launched from an active that there is no direct way of stopping it once launched!!
Under the movement menu all the settings arew greyed out and not selectable?!? So how does one stop a launched object once it has been launched? Any examples or code files would be great if possible! Thank's again fellow clickers and God Bless always!

Easiest way is to just give the object bouncing ball movement. Then, instead of doing "launch object," create the bouncing ball object at (0,0) from the launcher and give it the direction you want. Since it's bouncing ball you can stop it whenever you want. If you're dead set on using "launch object," you could just destroy the object and replace it with a stopped lookalike object.

But the best way is to create your own movement, using trigonometry to give you 360-degree or even finer angle fidelity.
