    Fusion Commercial / Published Games

    Hi fellow clickers,

Was just curious to ask any of you on here if you happen to have a finished game made in fusion that has been released commercially? And if so.. How long from initial start to finish did it take you or your team to develope the game prior to publishing it? I'm just curious on some or certain games what it took in time to develope it before it's release. For example.. Scott Cawthon's "Five Nights at Freddies" the very first game.. I wonder how long exactly it took to develope that game. OR the most recent game similar to that one called 'Sophie's Curse'. How long did it take to develope your game?

My debut game "Silence of the Sleep" took around 1½ years. Though it was my first Fusion game, and the first game I ever created so I had to learn while developing!
"DISTRAINT" which is a bit shorter game I made in mere 3 months.

I'm one man band, so yeah Fusion can really speed up the development.

@ J3sseM, Very Impressive indeed! And also thoes games are fantastic also.. I was just curious to see on some of these game projects just how long in development they actually took from start to finish!
And Jeff, I have been to the 'indiegamecreators' site and seen the many commercial games there.. But that site doesn't say and/or explain the length of time it took to develope the actual games from start to finish! It would be very interesting and facinating to know the actual time spent in development of thoes fantastic game projects. It goes to show the awesome power of the Clickteam Fusion development system.

If you go to my website, check out the games: Mango Blue, Vertico, Isopark, Dehumanizer, Sticky Hands, Chroma Cave. All of these games were made with Fusion in 2 days or less.

Slayin took about 2 years, but that was working a few hours a night and on weekends mostly. I had a full time day job as a game developer as well. But I would point out it took that long even after using MMF2 for almost 5 years before it. I would never have been able to make Slayin as a first project. I had easily made 50+ prototype games before it. In comparison, my latest game took about 8 months (so far) and is far more complex than Slayin in almost every aspect. Each game gets faster if you build on the knowledge you gained from your previous efforts.

I'm currently working on my first official game project with fusion 2.5 called "Frantic Panic".. I have about 3 months into the development of the project and still got quite a ways to go! But I've been putting in all the time I can get to keep pushing the game's development forward to completion. Would still like to find a good freelance artist for hire though to get some better quality 2D art for this project. If anyone has any suggestions they would be much appreciated.

It took King_Cool and I about 3 years to release "Cannon Ball Jack" that is on Google Play and here on the Clickstore. BUT,.this was not worked on a constant 3 years everyday, but a lot of hours went into it. The outcome was a good solid game that a lot of thought went into making it. Other games I've released have only taken me a few days to a week. It really depends on the game and how complicated it is. Cannon Ball Jack was very complicated to code, but thanks to King_Cool and his knowledge it worked out really well.

Wow! Very impressive guys! I'm very inspired by everyone's fine work and efforts put into your great gaming projects.. I'm hoping someday I can join the ranks along with you guys! My older brother david believes I'm just wasting my time with game creation because he believes that I couldn't make any real living from it?! I tried to explain to him about other's success stories but he doesn't think they are real and that they are just marketing ploys to sell a game creation tool to make money from. He just doesn't understand!! But still it's real funny because he sure loves to play thoes games he doesn't believe in though...

DrWho, you can make a lot of games including clones of games, but it only takes that one that skyrockets in sales. Look at 5 nights at Freddy's and Boogeyman night. Very good games and doing very well. Like I said, it takes that one "good" idea and BAM..!!!! I/we thought our game "Cannon Ball Jack" was going to do really well and it hasn't so far. The game is really good IMO and I'm not just saying that because we made it, but I've noticed most of the games people like are those match games, BUT there are a ton of them now. So that's not going to be a good game to make at this point either. It's very hard to come up with an idea for a game in hopes that it will do well.
