    Anyone having problems saving projects?

This have been bugging me for a LONG time, but I have never been able to confirm it. A lot of times when I open my project the next day, or after a few days or whatever, it seems like a big part of my last changes have not been saved. Right now, I opened a project that I worked on about 3 weeks ago, and a lot of the events I had earlier are gone. I cant really prove that I did not save, but I think it is very strange. I am using a lot of other saving-based projects too (I even work with Visual Studio) but the only time I have this feeling is with Fusion 2.5. The stage I am in my Fusion 2.5 project right now is missing so many events that I highly doubt I made THAT many events last time without saving once.

I will keep an eye on this from now on, but I must ask - have anyone had any similar experiences?? Or is it just me going crazy?

    never experienced, must be distressing!

    some things you could try:

    - Fusion has an "autosave" feature, you can check your autosaved files (.001, .002 etc. files, just rename them in .mfa)
and see if any of them has more recent content than the "official" ones

    - check the "last modified" date of the file, to see wether you saved or not the day you expected you to save
(but would be odd you didn't since it would prompt you to save when closing...)

    - keep a "comment" as a reference, and every time you save your file write there the date/time you are saving,
    "saved on xx/xx/xxxx at yy:yy"
so when opening back you should (hopefully!) find your latest comment there

Ohh, cool! Checking the auto saved file worked Here is all the missing stuff!
I refuse to think that I hit "dont save" when I close my Fusion 2.5. I also have a "built in auto-saver" in my hand, by clicking CTRL-S after almost every event. This is really odd, because the two files are just too different. The only thing I can think of is that its simply sometimes it opens in an error-state and its completely unable to save, even though it doesnt tell me.

Ow well, if this just happens to me, Ill just use this workaround for now. Most of the time, this is not a problem
    Thanks for reply!

Weird - Never heard of this before.

One idea is save your files under a new name each time (Good practice anyway so you have a series of backups in case you want to look back at something)

Every time I make a significant change, I save it as a different name as Jeff said. That way if the changes don't work as expected then it's a easy way back.
The Fusion 2.5 did crash on me few times when I was working on a PATH OBJECT, I'm not sure why, So I lost some stuff.

Thanks for the tips. I already do this occationally, when I do big "potentionally dangerous" changes (probably like Amiman99), but every save will be way too often :p

Ow well. I am glad to hear that nobody else have this problem. Good for you
Again, this does not happen often, and I dont think it have happened before I got my new PC. Must be something funny in here somewhere. Nevertheless, being aware of this, I will be able to handle it from now on

Actually now that you mention it Marius i am almost sure that happened to me once or twice. I was opening up a project and I thought to myself "wow this is odd. I could've sworn that i saved this" but had to redo stuff...but like you say.

I can't prove that i saved but i am pretty careful and save often...oh well...one of those unexplained mysteries I guess...bigfoot or ufo's? Pffft....that's nothing compared to this weirdness :-D
