Buttons don't display when I'm in 'Build and Run'!

    Hi,

I recently bought the Clickfusion 2.5 standard version after playing around with the Free version for a while and have been using Sparckman's tutorials to get familiar with this software. I'm very pleased with the product, and will definitely purchase the Developer version. However, now that I'm close to finishing my first game, I have run into a obstacle and I have no clue how to rectify it.

When I use 'Run Application', the game is working exactly as I want it to, but when I try the 'Build and Run' version (which pops up a new window), the 'START' and 'EXIT' buttons are absent. This has only happened to this specific game and not to any of the mock tutorials or a different project I'm working on.

Is this normal? How can I fix this? Without those buttons I can't play or leave the app, nor upload it to Android or iOS.

    Thank you in advance!

When your doing build and run is that running it on your Android device?
Does the same thing happen if you just build then install the APK to the device? (I suspect it would)

What objects are you using for the Start and Exit buttons?

(also note -- Apple doesn't like anything that says - exit, quit, or close your app. Its weird but they demand you let their OS decide if it should be closed)

No this is the Build and Run feature that comes with the standard version. This is basically me testing what the game would look like as a finished product, but the buttons are nowhere to be seen in HTML5.

I'm using the typical Clickfusion buttons after inserting an object, and have allocated them a specific event (i.e START = 'Is it clickable' > jump to frame (game) or EXIT = End application).

Perhaps its a problem with the HTML5 export module then.
Can you upload a little MFA file of this?

I did a little test file of all the options for the button object in HTML5

Can't see anything going wrong -- I think I need an example so I can see what you see.

(I am using the latest beta)

Hi Jeff, there is a similar thread below where someone was facing the same issue. Another poster made an interesting comment that buttons and other objects don't show in the HTML5 limited version because of the preloader. Are you using the Full version? That might explain why everything is fine with your test.

I'm going to purchase the Android exporter on Friday and just cross my fingers that the game is not missing anything.

That was in full -- but let me go try that in the free version.
The free version is older and needs an update.
