I'm not the right person to say if an extension can be cross-platform or not (I'm not an extension developer, etc.), but as consumer I really think that this kind of extension should be available for us.

From my understanding, the lack of HTML5 support for Lacewing is because, as ironic as it may sound, HTML5 has VERY specific limitations with online multiplayer support, which would result in it no longer being even remotely compatible with other versions of Lacewing, servers and all.

Lacewing is already ported to Android, though. (Well, the client is. The server, not so much.) As for iOS, that's where there isn't really much of an excuse for it not having a port yet.

That all being said, Bluewing doesn't yet have an official port to Android... but from my understanding, you can actually rename the files for the Android version of Lacewing from "lacewing<insert rest of the file name here>" to "bluewing<insert rest of the file name here>" as a temporary work-around for exporting Bluewing games to Android.

An iOS port of google play multiplayer could be an option too, or preferably make something new based on f.ex libuv/node.js which games like agar.io uses. If i get some time i may attempt to make something.

Yeah, but that does not have the Bluewing updates.

True, but if you just need a temporary solution while you wait for an official port (since I think that one might have been in development? I kinda forget), then it could have been worse (the work-around could have been "you'll have to re-code everything in Lacewing, sorry!").

Oh... so I guess there WEREN'T plans on an Android version of Bluewing (like I said, I forgot for sure)... that's a bit different.

Still, I don't think there was anything so broken in the Android version of Lacewing that it's an awful alternative...

It WOULD be nice to have a new cross-platform multiplayer extension, preferably one that's easier to use...
