Trying To Run App In Emulator

    Hi Guys,

I am trying to run my application in the Android emulator (using a virtual device). I have all the appropriate things installed from Android Studio and the virtual device works in Android Studio.

When I go to my Android Exporter settings for my application in Fusion 2.5 there is an option/button in the export settings labelled 'Emulator' when I press this it loads up my virtual device that I use with Android Studio and prepares it to run my application but I get the following error every single time.

"Google Play services have stopped working", I then hit the 'Ok' button to close that error but then about 2 seconds later it pops back up. The emulator doesn't seem to work with Fusion 2.5, it would be great. I'm just wondering how I can fix this problem.

If you are sure you have start the android emulator for version 4.4 and above and you have download with sdk manager the system image + google images and is still giving you this error?, I recommend going to application manager, search for google play Store, Force Stop, uninstall and update from playstore.
    Regards,

Awesome I will give this a try. It's only because I can't run my game properly through the Fusion 2.5 runtime because I am using an Android Object.

I've made a new AVD and installed Google API's with it and installed Google Play Store and the error 'Unfornately Google Play Services has stopped working' has gone away but the emulator doesn't load my app.

I still can't seem to get the emulator working through Fusion 2.5. I have set up a new virtual device which uses API 24, I read that any API below 24 won't allow you to use Google Play services on an emulator. The error of 'Google Play services have stopped working' no longer happens on this new virtual device but I cannot run my application on the virtual device because the application isn't loading on the emulator. The emulator loads up perfectly and I have Android running and I am able to navigate around the phone but I cannot find my application in the menu on the virtual device, usually when I am testing applications on a virtual device they load up automatically on their own inside Android Studio but this isn't happening with Fusion 2.5.

    Any help is appreciated.

I tried emulator on previous versions of CTF2.5 before... it works... I'm sure it still works now.

I find it a slow workflow even if I have beast PC... emulator loading times, slow install, load load load... so I dont use it anymore.
I just have a good test phone (good old Galaxy S5) , move apk to SD card via USB3.0 cable, fast install, fast testing

you probably want emulator to test if it works on different API/android versions... too much hassle, emulators don't really reflect much on real world in my case. not worth it for simple games.

you are likely used in using emulators, so, go on. It works with fusion, I remember doing some trial and error before I manage to make it work.
