Arrow Do you think we should be able to change the color of specific event check marks?

I think it could be useful to have this feature under certain circumstances.

Sure. Or the color of entire cell (something like a style brush).

This sounds like it could be a cool feature!

That being said, did you know that the Bug Tracker can also be used to post feature requests?: http://bugbox.clickteam.com/

Currently, the green tick is a PNG file. So changing colour wouldn't be as simple as, say, changing the colour of a font. It would probably require adding some sort of filter to the graphic. Even then, it would only work as expected on some skins. Or it could require skins to provide multiple PNGs - but that would make the feature not backwards compatible with all existing skins. So I wouldn't hold my breath for this feature unfortunately.

Out of interest, what would the usefulness of this be? (I'm not implying that it wouldn't be useful - I'm sure it would be useful - I just can't think of one myself, so I'm curious)

Alternatively, it could be programmed so that you can choose from a list of checkmarks included with the skin in question (the developer of the skin could add as many or as few alternate checkmarks as they want). And then, as a separate option/feature (to allow for usage of the feature on old skins without support for multiple checkmark options), allow the color to be changed, which could be set up to first make the image monochrome, and then change the color of the monochrome version.

Best of both worlds, and has a simple solution for changing the color that should work with 90% of existing skins. As an added bonus, alternate skins could potentially include 20 or so alternate checkmarks with different shapes in addition to different colors, allowing for some rather interesting organization (though it would likely cause issues when going from a skin with several checkmarks, to a skin with far fewer... maybe it could ask the user if they want Fusion to automatically colorize the checkmarks which have checkmark image IDs higher than what the selected skin supports?).

That would probably work, but can you really see Yves and co going through with something like that? It would require building a whole new mechanism, with a complex set of filters and algorithms (making the image grey scale and colorizing wouldn't be enough, because grey can be colorized but black and white can't.....so there would have to be an additional step that decreases levels/contrast to bring all blacks and whites towards the middle of the spectrum......but then if it does that, suddenly the checkmark's nice plain white background has become a solid grey block.....and this block then gets coloured in addition to the checkmark.....so you could make it avoid modifying white pixels......but what of icons that have a grey background (they'd get solid colour backgrounds).....or a white checkmark (their checkmarks could never be coloured)?).

Just that recolouring step would be fraught with difficulties. And then there's how to integrate it into the menu (how does the user choose a colour? Does the filename appear in the menu? Does a thumbnail have to be generated in the menu? Is the user's preferred color coding system going to get mixed up semi-randomly every time she changes skin?). It sounds like a heck of a lot of complicated work for something that's going to have unreliable results with most skins, and doesn't appear to have much user demand in the first place. I can't imagine it happening.

I'd say your only chance is to post this as a feature request for Fusion 3 and try and drum up support for that. CT could probably quite easily implement this in Fusion 3, then supply several PNG variations with the default skin, which would ensure that all user-made skins would follow suit

But still the question is, what is the usefulness of this?
A checkmark is a checkmark. To be honest, I don't see any either..

Perhaps it's just so you can mark certain events to make the structure of your code easier to visually digest. But if so, I think being able to colour an entire line might be a more effective way to do it

+1 for Volnaiskra's suggestion, I can see that one being useful.

That Volnaiskra could be handy, colored sections. Place it in the bug box as a Request.
