Is There A News Ticker Object?

Is there a news ticker object or example available for Fusion, something akin to what ESPN or CNN shows at the bottom of their screens? I would like to scroll text from a file if I could.

Are you asking about how to get the news, or how to just make it scroll across the screen?

I just want to make it scroll across the screen horizontally without being too jittery.

I actually did something like that before and it was pretty simple. You just take a string object and fill it with your words, give it a movement and set the direction to either left or right. Then I put a backdrop on the layer above it with a cut out hole in it in which to view the ticker through.

So say if the ticker's going to left to right, you just make a condition like 'If StringObject's X val > (whatever off the screen to the right) then set StringObject's X val to (whatever off the screen to the left, a negative value) and it resets itself.
