I have found a problem that I thought I would share to help others (sorry if this is in the wrong thread, I'll move it if you want me to)

If you have the problem that you have a white background (on an edit box object), which, for some odd reason, changes to black when hovered over, you are not alone. There is an easy fix for this, or one which I think should work for everyone (it worked for me).

So just re-enable multiline in the edit box properties and disable the transparent option (you can now disable multiline if you like). I think this happens because the property still has minor functionality whilst multiline is disabled (which, in theory, disables transparent...).
