clickteam fusion 2.5 can not launch properly via steam

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • I just purchased the software via steam and I was stuck at the creating frame window and it crashes. There is no error code. I am using windows 10 and the free version works fine on this pc.

;(please help me if you got any ideas.

Welcome REONSS. This is puzzling as I've been using for years on Steam without an application crash for ... hmm I can't remember how many years. At least on Windows 10 and 11.

  • Thank you for your info and reply. I figured it out. It was something related to my system so I had to reinstall the whole system. How I figured that out was tricky too. Somehow it has to be the first thing I click on after a reboot for it to open correctly. Thank you anyways.

  • Try verifying steam files. Right-click Fusion in Steam, go Properties, go Installed Files tab, then press "Verify integrity of software files" button. It will wipe your settings like toolbars, keyboard shortcuts, but should fix any startup issues.

Also, update your graphics driver. Microsoft takes a while to approve Windows Update drivers, so you typically have a graphics driver version months if not years behind the current drivers.

If none of that works, try uninstalling it entirely and reinstalling.
