Hello, I'm sure everyone is already aware of the various limitations involved with each external loading method. If not, I'll briefly list some reasons that make the current extensions unusable to me.
Code
Active Object - Not usable due to "Load frame" applying to all instances of the object. (Ie, it'd only work with two separate Active Objects). It also only "replaces" current graphics, so you'd need to fill up an active with however many frames you need.
Text Blitter - No scale/rotation options.
Animated Pic - Not HWA optimized. Also requires surface object to function correctly. Tested with 100 Animated Picture Objects Vs 100 Actives, and the FPS drops to almost half-speed.
Active Picture - Can't pre-cache images, so you'd have to constantly load images every loop which is resource tasking.
Surface Obj - Rotating doesn't give the desired effect.

The "Character Image" extension exists only in MMF2 Dev, so I have no way of testing how it works. I wouldn't mind an "update" of an older extension such as the Text Blitter or Animated Picture Object if the source code is available. If you do, here is what I'd like updated;
Text Blitter - Scale/Rotation options.
Animated Picture - Optimized for HWA.
If that's not possible, then anything that has the same options as the Animated Picture Object would suffice. Feel free to ask me any questions.
